Important Dates
- May 3, 2021 Last day to REGISTER before the primary
- May 11, 2021 Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot.
- May 18, 2021 Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M.)
- May 18, 2021 MUNICIPAL PRIMARY
Circulate Petition
- Team up with team Nesby: 100 signatures will put the mayor on the ballot this election year. You can help by reaching out to your community and friends.
Work the Polls
- Hand out informative fliers on voting day about Mayor Nesby. Let people know about Mayor Nesby, answer questions, and ask people to vote for her
Phone Bank
- Help Mayor contact voters in Duquesne to express Mayor Nesby's vision and why they should vote for her.
Register to Vote
- Register to vote here
- Your voter registration should be completed at least 15 days before the election.
- You must be a citizen of the United States for at least one month before the municipal election you wish to vote in.
- You must be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote. Your residency must begin at least 30 days before the municipal election in which you want to vote.
- You must be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next municipal election.
Mail-in Ballots

- May 11, 2021 at 5 pm - APPLICATIONS for a mail-in or absentee ballot must be received by your county election board
- May 18, 2021 at 8 pm – VOTED BALLOTS must be RECEIVED by your county election office - postmarks are not enough
- Mail-in ballot – Any qualified voter may apply for a mail-in ballot. You may request this ballot without a reason or explanation.
- Absentee ballot – If you plan to be out of the municipality on election day or if you have a disability or illness that prevents you from going to your polling place on election day, you can request this ballot type, which still requires you to list a reason for your ballot.
- In order to request either ballot type, you must be registered to vote.
